This week’s message is from [[[ Revelation 17:1-18 (CSB) ]]] - Pastor Cedric Hill
[[[ If you’re waiting for sin to look ugly, you’ll never stop waiting. ]]]
-The prostitute is Babylon—expressed in Rome—the newest expression of the ancient power that seduces humanity away from God.
-Babylon’s cup shines outside but is rotten inside.
-Self-exaltation always builds sandcastle kingdoms
-Don’t be surprised when people are dazzled by evil.
-Evil always collapses in on itself.
-God is always working things together
-Babylon’s not just “out there” - it’s sometimes “in here.” (inside us.)
-Spiritual separation is not physical isolation.
-The prostitute points to herself. The bride points to her husband.
As we go through the week, let’s stay rooted in the Word; our daily bread; and let it nourish us as we live out what we’ve learned together.
